"Sirola ♀" Seaberry (Hippophae rhamnoides) Plant
Clonal plant grown on its own roots, 8"+ tall.
This vigorous female selection is a pretty recent introduction of mixed German and Russian stock. Seaberries are beautiful, upright suckering shrubs, with beautiful silvery leaves. This plant fixes nitrogen and resists drought, salt, high wind and almost anything else that might come at it. The fruit is bright orange and very high in vitamin C and several other vitamins. Fruit can be eaten out of hand or processed into juice or preserves. Needs a male seaberry pollination.
