Plant - 1 year old seedling

Seed packet - ½ tsp, about 380 seeds. These are local ecotype seeds grown at Edgewood Nursery, originally from wild populations in Windham and Dresdin Maine.

This native plant is seriously under utilized in gardens. A beautiful plant with edible shoots, roots and fruit. Easily grown in part-shade or sun in most soil types (prefers damp soil, especially in full sun). Local eco type.

These seeds can be tricky to germinate, so i store them damp with fungicide, sow asap and keep outdoors. Store in the fridge in the meantime. Seeds arrive pre-stratified, so if you want to start them indoors you can start any time.
