This close relative of the Black-eyed Pea tolerates heat and drought better then regular pole bean (no sur, they also feature extra-floral nectaries that make them very attractive to wasps and other beneficial insects. Cook as you would any dry bean, especially Black-eyed Peas. This old variety hails from Burkina Faso in West Africa.
