Diviner's Sage / Ska Pastora (Salvia divinorum) Plant (5 varieties)
This plant is banned in several states, please check your local legal status BEFORE ordering, as I will not ship to banned states.
Limit of 3 plants per customer, there are no limits on rooted cuttings.
All plants are sold in 3” Pots, established on soil.
Rooted cuttings have well established roots and are shipped dipped in agri-gel and wrapped in damp paper. Pot up soon after arrival.
PLEASE NOTE: There are NO guarantees on rooted cuttings shipped bare root. I have had a good success rate, but there are too many variables to guarantee this option.
This year I will be offering 4 named varieties: Paradox, Resilience, Owen’s and Cera Quenado. They all grew a little different, but beyond that they seem quite similar. I don’t have any additional info on these varieties at this time. I will still be growing and selling the unknown cultivar I have grown for many years which, based on the looks of the plant and several other factors I suspect Hoffman/Wasson, but I can’t be sure.
This psychoactive member of the mint family is native to Mexico, traditionally this plant has been used by Mazatec curendero/as for divination and healing ceremonies, in a similar way to Psilocybe mushrooms, as far as I know this continues to today. Rare in cultivation and not the easiest plant to care for, but beautiful and fascinating enough to put in the effort. In my correspondence with a Mazatec historian and culture keeper I was asked to pass along a request to anyone growing the plant to treat the plant with great respect and to consume the leaves by chewing and not by smoking, as burning the plant is harmful / disrespectful to the spirit of the plant. It may not be a coincidence that all the stories I have heard of terrifying or otherwise disturbing Salvia experiences were from smoking concentrated extracts.
Click here for basic care sheet for this plant.
In honor of the 100s (if not 1,000s) of years that this plant was exclusively tended by the Mazatec people, 33% of the sale price of each plant/cutting will go to Historias y Memorias Mazatecas Project, if you have benefited from Salvia divinorum or Psilocybin Mushrooms I would encourage you to make a personal donation as well.
I do not offer seeds of this species. They rarely make viable seeds (at least outside their native range). In 15+ years growing this species I have never seen a viable seed.
