Eastern Bluebells (Mertensia virginica) Plants

$7.00

These near native (closest wild populations are in NY) spring ephemerals put on quite a show early in the spring, then completely disappear by the time summer heats up. I’ve got them under my Paw Paw trees, which is great because they provide nice ground cover for spring but the ground is clear when it’s time to pick up paw paws. As well as being beautiful, they are also edible, and quite tasty. They grow in moderate to moist soil in part shade to shade. They do best in the shade of deciduous trees.
