Hardy Kiwi (Actinidia arguta) Plants - Several cultivars
These are plants started from cuttings last year, small, but overwintered and cheap.
Martin A - This is the first time this cultivar has been offered. Grown from a seed in Monteville, Maine by Moe Martin, this vigorous hardy kiwi produces medium sized green hardy kiwis with good flavor and “custardy” texture.
Martin B - This is the first time this cultivar has been offered. Grown from a seed in Monteville, Maine by Moe Martin, this vigorous female hardy kiwi produces medium sized green hardy kiwis with good flavor and “custardy” texture. I have found this cultivar to root easier and establish faster from cuttings then any variety I have worked with before.
Michigan State - This popular female cultivar produces large amounts of large green fruit with good hardy kiwi flavor.
Meader Female - This rare female cultivar produces large amounts of large green fruit with good hardy kiwi flavor. This cultivar was selected by notable New England plantsman Elwyn Meader, read a bit about this humble and remarkable man HERE.
Meader Male - This male cultivar is one of the toughest male argutas around, although they do seem a bit slower to bloom then “Smith 2”. This cultivar was selected by notable New England plantsman Elwyn Meader, read a bit about this humble and remarkable man HERE.
