A packet contains 1/4 tsp of seed, about 2,400 tiny seeds. Bulk seed packet contains 1 TBS about 28,800 seeds.

Sweet Annie is a large, highly aromatic annual herb. Because of the lovely aroma, their most popular use is in garlands and potpourri. Sweet Annie has been used in both Chinese and western herbalism, as well as being the source of precursors to several modern Malaria drugs.

This species produces a huge number of tiny seeds and easily becomes weedy if allowed to self-sow. Unless you are saving seeds, I highly recommend harvesting as the flowers open, which is when you will get the highest quality harvest and ensure no unwanted seeding. Sow the tiny seeds thinly on the soil surface in spring. Full sun and well drained soil produces the best results, but these plants are quite adaptable and can thrive on weak soils. I have had best results from direct sowing, but others recommend transplanting.
