Warnado Claw (Proboscidea parviflora) Seed Packet.
1 Packet of Seeds contains 1/2 tsp, about 20 seeds.
This sun and heat loving annual shrubby vine from the south west is grown for their decorative/edible seedpods. Traditionally these seed pods where used as a source for dark fiber used in basketry. The vines and flowers are quite attractive as well. Young pods can be cooked like Okra or pickled, seeds edible at young or mature stages. This plant is drought tolerant and may produce/ripen better in dry conditions, so probably don’t irrigate (or irrigate minimally) after seedling establishment. Start indoors in short season climates.
